Due to a maternity absence, our leading, international Client, in the Craigavon area, urgently wishes to appoint an experienced Senior HR Officer/Advisor. This HR generalist job is for a 9-12 month fixed term contract. The successful Senior HR Officer/Advisor will act as an HR Business Partner and will join a busy, proactive team, responsible for supporting and advising Managers and supervisors on the full range of HR activities; employee relations, HR projects, policies and procedures etc.

The Role

  • 9-12 month contract
  • Reporting to the HR Manager and working within a busy HR team
  • Support and advise Managers and supervisors, providing a high quality HR service
  • Assist and advise Line Managers with a range of issues – performance, absence, conduct and conflict
  • Provide advice on, and participate in, disciplinary and grievance procedures
  • Support flexible working request meetings
  • Participate in preparation of ER cases
  • Absence management
  • Employee exit processes
  • Manage employee engagement initiatives
  • Contribute to HR projects
  • Ensure that the computerised HR Information systems are accurate
  • HR Policy development and implementation

The Person

  • Available for 9-12 month contract
  • Degree qualified AND 2-3 years experience in a fast paced HR department with experience of ER, absence & performance, employee welfare, policy and procedure work


  • 5 GCSEs Grade C or above, including Maths & English AND 5+ years HR generalist experience working in a complex organisation
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Positive and proactive attitude
  • Excellent communication
  • Competent in Microsoft Office packages
