Our Client is a highly successful, leading organisation in the County Antrim area, who urgently wish to recruit an experienced, Senior HR Advisor/Junior HR Business Partner.  This is a permanent Senior, HR Generalist job working within a very busy team providing high quality HR support to the HR Business Partner and wider business.  The successful HR Advisor will enjoy working in a busy, professional environment, advising and overseeing the day to day HR activities, as well as, driving continuous improvement and leading on exciting projects – restructure/change, leadership and upskilling, job evaluation and the development of career pathways. 

The Role:

  • Report to the HR Business Partner, and deputise during holiday periods
  • Manage and oversee the day to day running of the HR Office
  • Provide guidance and support to the HR Officers
  • Provide training, coaching and support to line managers on HR policies and procedures
  • Deliver effective recruitment, selection and retention solutions
  • Manage the employee administration workload, management and maintenance of up to date and accurate employee records
  • Complete, analyse and identify trends in weekly and monthly HR reports and KPIs
  • Monitor and assist Managers in the application of the attendance management policy, liaising with Occupational Health
  • Manage sickness absence and non-attendance, including long term sickness
  • Provide a day to day interface with employee representatives/Union Representatives
  • Ensure employee’s performance is regularly reviewed and personal development is promoted and monitored against the training and development strategy
  • Maintain up to date job descriptions
  • Succession planning
  • Monitor and support the employee relations
  • Report and identify trends in HR KPIs
  • Carry out project work – leadership development, upskilling and coaching, job evaluation etc


The Person:

  • Proven senior HR generalist background at HR Officer level, essential
  • Experience working and providing support in a Unionised environment, essential
  • Experience within a fast paced, commercial sector, essential
  • Experience of leading on restructure/change/new start ups, would be advantageous
  • Experience of training delivery, desirable
  • Experience of working within a multi-site environment, desirable
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Good conflict resolution experience
  • Full driving license
