Due to continued success and growth, our leading, award winning, Belfast based wishes to recruit an experienced HR Business partner.  Our Client is a well established employer with an impressive brand portfolio and multiple sites.  This is a permanent HR Business Partner.  The successful HR generalist will join a busy, well established HR team and be responsible for a thriving business area, driving the organisational, HR and change initiatives.  This is a diverse and extremely busy role which will require a confident, decisive and collaborative HR practitioner who is experienced in business partnering, advising and supporting all levels within a complex, dynamic landscape.


The Role:

  • Recruitment and selection – develop job descriptions, participate in interviews and inductions
  • Talent and succession initiatives
  • Performance development review process – provide advice and guidance on this process
  • Undertake training sessions and quality check the performance development review process
  • Review completion rates for the performance development review process and take remedial actions as required
  • Policy review and development
  • Work with the Finance Manager and Business Partners to review payroll budgets and forecasts
  • Lead the employee engagement programme – ensure effective use of engagement and communication processes
  • Employee and industrial relations – implement disciplinary procedures, conduct grievance hearings, provide advice on a day to day basis
  • Maintain excellent relationships with TU officials
  • Support the Head of HR in the completion of change initiatives and ad hoc projects


The Person:

  • CIPD membership
  • 3rd level qualification in business related subject
  • Full driving license and access to own car
  • Experience of working in a fast paced, commercial environment
  • 3-5 years’ experience working in an HR Generalist role, with significant experience of recruitment, disciplinary & grievance, employment law, budgets and forecasting
  • People management
  • IR experience
  • Good working knowledge of current and impending employment legislation
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good interpersonal skills
