Our leading charitable Client in Belfast city centre, is keen to appoint an HR Officer.  This is an interim HR Officer job, initially a 3 month fixed term contract.  The successful candidate will enjoy working closely with Head of HR, providing comprehensive and pragmatic advice and support on policies and procedures in order to support the HR strategy.

 

Duties:

  • Report to the  Head of HR
  • Provide advice and support to management on all aspects of HR policy and good practice
  • Collate information for KPIs
  • Assist in the development of employee engagement activities
  • Assist in the design and delivery of development workshops
  • Ensure compliance to the vetting procedures
  • Maintain and update manual and computerised HR information systems
  • Assist with job analysis and job evaluation
  • Manage and maintain the HR information systems
  • Workforce and succession planning
  • Provide an advisory service for managers in relation to issues such as grievance, discipline and other performance related matters
  • Prepare, compile and manage documentation for employment relations cases
  • Assist in the updating of HR policies, systems and procedures
  • Advise managers on effective recruitment and selection campaigns
  • Participate in interview panels
  • Design and implement an induction process
  • Prepare contractual documentation

 

Requirements:

  • 3rd level qualification in HR or related discipline PLUS 2 yeas experience in a dedicated HR generalist role, essential

OR

  • 3 years experience working in a dedicated HR generalist role
  • CIPD membership, desirable
  • Proven experience of managing recruitment campaigns, essential
  • Strong employee relations background
  • Must be available immediately
  • Full driving license and access to a car, essential
